Join Presteigne Pop Choir for classics such as 'Walk on By', 'You Got It', 'You’re so Vain' and 'The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Any More'.

All arrangements are by musical director John Hymas and specifically for the choir which he started in 2017. He explains: 'I’d been doing pop music with my school choirs for a while which they much preferred to standard children’s songs, so I decided to try the same thing with adults. I found that I really enjoyed arranging pop hits for three- and four-part harmony and discovering that singing is so good for the soul.'

The Presteigne Pop Choir is most unusual in that most choirs have a conductor and an accompanist - unusually, John (somehow) does both! Since its beginning the choir has grown in size and confidence and has performed in many venues, but the Assembly Rooms is where they regularly rehearse and where they welcome you on this occasion.
